So since :iconwhitephoenix7: is doing free sketches I thought I'd try and do the same. So this is basically what it is.

The first 10 people that comment in this journal will get a free SKETCH of anything you want (but that doesn't include pornographic, racistic, insulting etc. pics!). But, in exchange, you have to put this and the free offer of 10 SKETCHES to your journal.

Mind you I'm not the greatest at drawing humans but I'll try my hardest, and also because its getting close to midterms I don't know how long it will take me.....I hate school sometimes. But ya the first ten people to comment on this journal get to have a free sketch.

9-11 Eight Years Later

Can you believe it? Its been eight years. American has gone through so much since then. Even though the shock of that day has worn off, I shall never forget that day. My brother was in the area when the trade towers were hit. He was 1 1/2 miles away when it his and i remember him saying that he thought a truck had crash in front of his apartment.

It still sickens me when I think about that act of terror. Seeing the Trade Towers glitter with flames as smoke billowed out of the crushed wreck of twisted, charred metal, a section from the middle missing where the plane rammed the steel. I remember the frozen shock that prevaded my body, I was too stunned to move the moment I saw the first trade tower smoking. I remember seeing the news screen flash pictures of people running, desperate to get away from the falling tower, the straining metal groaning as if it was in pain, the metal buckling against its own weight as the tower tumbled staight down on top of itself, kicking thick, grayish dust into the air, dust that looked like a mushroom cloud. The extent of the damage hidden in its thick mists. The second one came down not too long after, the rubble turning into a constricting cage, a death trap that held many, innocent people inside. Ash-like dust covered the ground, making the streets look abandoned, desolate. I also remember before that thinking that "this must be a joke, a very bad one. Nothing like that could really happen. Boy was I wrong.

I was a Sophmore in High school when that happened and even though i'm a "Super" senior in college I still get goosebumps when I think about 9-11.

I went to New York in 2003 and one of the places my family visited was Ground Zero, they were still cleaning out the crumbled metal beams but you could actually see the ground and I remember hearing that as they cleared away the debris they were continuing to find bodies, of course dead, this was two years later and they were still finding dead bodies, I was in shock.

I will never forget how the Ameican nation came together that day, and even later on in the months to come. I remember how the firefighters valiently saved lives many losing their own. I remember people standing in long lines as they waited their turn to give blood to the Red Cross blood banks. I remember people holding vigils for the dead and people helping those who had lost their loved ones cope with the reality. I remember hearing about the heroes who gave their life to stop the 4th airplane from crashing into the pentagon. I remember the gigantic flag unravelling as it was draped over as undamages side of the Pentagon. I remember America becoming one. Now when I see an American flag I truly am proud to be an American because not only do I know I'm free but I also know that Americans can come together in a crisis. It was because of this feeling that I now have a flag draped in my own bedroom on the wall above my bed. It reminds me that I'm an American.

I remember all this and much, much more. I don't want to tarnish this memory of America, I don't want it to be torn apart by things like politics and violence. I don't want my future children to look back on this time and think, "man everybody really messed things up."

Right now it just feels like a mess. Everything seems in chaos, but I can understand. I can understand why people would be worried about going broke, a lot of banks are failing. I understand why people want reformed health care, we need a better system. I can understand why people could be afraid to sleep at night, there has been a rise in crime.

I'm at International Studies major and have noticed one thing. It feels like America is falling apart. There are many groups that don't see themselves as Americans anymore, they see themselves as smaller groups like Spanish, African, Muslim, when I talk to people who have lived in America for a while, people who are american citizens they don't say that they're American, they say what group their from.

Where did the pride of America go? Where is the sense of pride that would make you want to stand up and say "I am an America!" This is what worries me the most, interestingly enough more than the troubled economy or health care reform. I fear that if we don't start standing together as Americans again, people might start believing that America isn't the land of the free.

I know that I am an American and also know that a Nation United will never fall.

@_@ sorry for that I just get sentimental when it comes to 9-11 and for some reason I just went off on a tangent.

So :iconwhitediaraikia: featured me in her journal so now I shall do the same.

For everybody that is featured I will pick three of my favorites from their gallery.

I shall start with her because that was one of her stipulations and it would be cool if you get featured to at least save one spot for me if you do this, haha but you don't have to.)

:iconwhitediaraikia:
1. [link] I always find this amazing that people can draw on feathers. In my mind it requires a steady hand and a tiny brush tip. This is just amazing :D.

2. [link] I just couldn't take my eyes off this dragon. The green is so vibrant and the cherry tree is awesome. haha what can I say I love a good japanese theme.

3. [link] all her birds are awesome (what can I say I love to draw birds). This one stuck out the most though, nothing like a black raven overlooking a dismal area. The red sky really brings the feeling home. Great work.

:iconeternal-nightmare202:
1. [link] What can I say this is amazing. I went to the main page so I could getinto the gallery and this was what my eyes imediately gravitated to this wonderful masterpiece (I say that because that's what I think.) I love the blue, haha I can't express how beautiful it is. So deep and vibrant and mysterious. The gradient reminds me of the gemstone called tiger's eye haha but a blue one. Either that or liquid metal haha kind of hard to imagine that one huh (maybe more of a blazing sapphire). I say way to go, it looks amazing with the blue and the complimentary orange (yup it doesn't look like fire.

2. [link] haha I didn't pick this because it was an art trade between me and eternal-nightmare202 but because I love the colors. haha I should just go with a blue theme because I love how the blue just seems to shine and with colored pencils no less. I admire people who can use colored pencils and actually have them obey the artist. Not only do the colors look great but the Gryphon itself looks awesome, and he said he's never drawn a Gryphon before, I couldn't tell. Great job.

3. [link] I guess I will go with a blue theme after all. Great job on the background, the wings everything. I love it, the dragon looks awesome and it's blue. It was an art-trade for :iconempress-cethlisss: so if you want to see some awesome artwork :iconempress-cethlisss: is another great one.

:iconempress-cethlisss:
1. [link] another dragon. I love the green scales, that and I think the purple scales compliment the green very well. Great job.

2. [link] for this being your first dog I think it turned out pretty good. Norse names are pretty awesome when you're looking for a powerful sounding name.

3. [link] another blue dragon, this time this one is eastern. @_@ haha I seem to love the color blue don't I.

:iconhinata-babe13:
1. [link] haha saw this one and thought it was really cute. Invite them into your home so they can take over the world.

2. [link] so for some reason hinata-babe13 thinks that this looks crappy but I beg to differ. haha I can't draw humans very well, let alone faces so I think it looks awesome. Great job on the proportions of the face.

3. [link] I think this looks pretty cool. I've been to New York area before, there was a lot to see, this reminds me of my trip way back when. I love the lighting, in a way the photograph almost looks like an old cepia photograph. Vintage almost even.

:iconnemu:
1. [link] I find this amazing. I'm not great with photoshop yet nemu who had never colored feathers before this made the picture look so awesome. The colors look great and I must say the beak turned out and that eye is to die for (what can I say? I love eyes.)

2. [link] this turned out good. I think what I like most about it is the expression on the girl's face, it looks happy. I also like the cherry blossom tree in the background. Great job.

3. [link] good job on this. The proportions of the face are great, far better than I could ever do (right now that is.) I also love the cobalt colored eyes (why am I attracted to blue?).

:iconvye-brante:
1. [link] I must say that I love this. I can't remember but I think she said she inhanced the colors. Great focus and great job with the colors.

2. [link] haha ok first of all let me say I love the clothes and second the picture just looks awesome. haha I think its the first thing I've picked that isn't solely blue (even though there is blue in it). Great job all around. The butterfly background makes the picture look even more cool.

3. [link] so I picked this one to be my last because its my favorite. What I love about this one is the pose, great job on the proportions and it has a pretty catchy saying as well.

:iconallisongrl: I was featured in her journal so I think its only fair that I feature her.
1. [link] this is amazing, its a deer turning into a tree. I must say I don't think I could ever be that creative with stuff like that.

2. [link] this design was amazing. Great shading and (once again) a very lovely hue of blue. (haha now i'm turning into a poet, ah know eht, haha sorry I just was trying to have fun rhyming I'll stop now I swear.)

3. [link] this one is my favorite out of the all her gallery. This was all done in pencil. Its amazing so realistic and if you look carefully you can see that there are three cranes, can you see the third one too?

:iconiggy-san:

1. [link] I've always loved Ookami fanart and I just fell in love with this.

2. [link] it took me a little bit but I was finally able to find this. I must say I just love birds of prey and this one turned out great. Though i don't know what type of falcon it is, its just amazing (I love the fierce glare the bird seems to give the viewer. Great job with the shading.

3. [link] awesome background. The wings look like a heart.

:iconlaments:

1. [link] I think this just looks awesome. I love how the background looks abstract but it allows the viewer to focus on the wolf-like creature hiding from the sun. Ah the colors are so warm and inviting. Great anatomy as well.

2. [link] I have a calico at home. haha this was just such a cute cat, who can resist those cute eyes.

3. [link] this is the cutest thing I've ever seen I think its actually cuter then the Calico cat. I love how the background sort of blends in with the owl's feet at the bottom. (yes and apparently cows go beep beep.)

:iconemmil:

1. [link] I just found this and knew it had to be first. Its amazing. If Gryphons were real it would look so realistic with the lighting and color. Great job.

2. [link] I love dragons and this caught my eye real fast. Great work on the background.

3. [link] ahh, now this is cute as well. I love the soft expression on the dog's face. It almost looks like the dog has its attention on something, this is just amazing. It reminds me of a dog who's about ready to go hunting ducks.

:iconkyuubifred:

1. [link] who can pass up a squaremelon that has the face of a japanese chibi, who would want to eat something so cute.

2. [link] a cute Kyuubi, great job and love the red eyes.

3. [link] there were so many pictures I couldn't decide until I saw this picture. I love Suicune, and Kyuubifred did an awesome job drawing him.

Night in the Museum 2 (Spoiler warning)

Forgot to add a spoiler warning.

What can I say?! This movie was awesome. The characters were all well developed and the humor was definitely there. I was impressed, they managed to keep it PG with all the fighting etc. haha as you can see I went to see thise wonderful movie. I went with my friend :iconvye-brante: and another friend. It was just fantastically awesome.

Hmm now where should I start, I'd first love to say who my favorite characters were. Of course the mini-men (Einstein included, the bobble-head Einsteins were pretty funny.) They had another monkey like Darwin and man those two were fighting over Ben's character at one point in the movie (the first time they met.) It was "the first monkey in space" meets Darwin the jungle monkey.

I don't know what I loved more, the action mixed with humor or just the bad guy Kahmunrah. I mean what bad guy has a lisp? Gasp he even called Jedediah Smith cute. The supporting bad guys were good as well. I think I loved Napolean the most of the supporting (don't know if it was because you saw a little more of him or what but I never knew he was that short, he even had a short complex).

haha it was also rather ingenious to think of Pi as the heart of everything. (haha see if anybody can understand what I mean there.)

Well I don't want to give too much more away but man I'd have to say that Abe is pretty good at swatting pigeons and bird-men and it also seemed Abe didn't realize he was a huge statue.

Now for things I thought were a little confusing, did the first movie ever explain about how the tablet works? I mean I thought if the tablet wasn't in the museum then things wouldn't come back to life. It seems though that anything that gets around the tablet become animated and then stay that way all night. Hmm its a good thing if anything isn't in the museum when dawn comes, that they turn to dust because I don't think people would do well to see a huge octopus in the artificial pond (the one that mirrors the washinton monument, right now my mind isn't working so I don't know the name of it.)

Well anyway that was the most confusing thing even though it was minor, and also something I think they forgot to do before they left was to clean up the Smithsonian, Big Honest Abe sure did a number on the window etc. I wonder what the world thought when they woke up and saw the Smithsonian windows all broken up and things everywhere.

Well that was the only other thing that kind of bothered be (though once again very small).

haha I was trying to tell everybody I knew about this movie and was trying to quote my favorite scenes but i must say I didn't do the movie justice by trying to paraphrase my favorite parts. This movie is a must watch, I could say many scenes from the movie that were really funny but I must say that I wouldn't do it any justice, it was just too funny to describe by my words.

All in all two thumbs up (ah to the underworld with that I'd say about 10 thumbs up.)

If anybody does watch the movie I hope you enjoy it as much as the first I think the producers did an excellent job.

WOW-a naruto chapter

Awesome man. Wow is all I can say. With this chapter opens up many new possiblities and answers to questions. I had always thought that Pein was just being manipulated but it also answers the question of 'what about Sasuke'. haha obviously its the same. Madara is a manipulator and very good at it. Its still currently unknown if Sasuke is doing what he did before and is just using Madara to get what he wants but haha with the way things are going now will he be able to inact his recent revenge? The world may never know until later on haha.

It makes sense that Madara is just using Pain I mean Madara may have even made Pain who he was, molding him into a person who hated rather then stuck to the ideals Jiraiya had left with him (mind you Jiraiya didn't help very much in the first place because he didn't try too hard to instill a better sense of self and sense of will, if you can put it that way (I hope that makes sense.) Pain had a weak mind from the beginning and Jiraiya could have tried a little harder to toughen it up but you can't blame him too much because he didn't know this was going to happen.

I also think that after Pain fights against Naruto he will understand the error of his ways and maybe even feel bad for killing Jiraiya. haha too bad there's nothing he can do to rectify what he's already done (haha its not like he could bring people back from the dead or anything, haha if only, then I would be extremely happy.) I think now that Naruto's not confused he'll fight with more furvor and beat Pain. haha I wouldn't be surprised if he was given a little bit of a gift as well. (though I don't know what haha, this is just me ranting.)

One thing is for sure no matter how you look at it Naruto's life has changed for ever. He finds out he has a father and that it happens to be a genius like Yondaime. I think that he will try harder to live like the son of a hokage will. One thing for I think he will start trying to think more before he fights. I already noticed that he is starting to think up strategies and though he is no shikamaru he still is a pretty smart kid and haha I can't wait to see everybody else's reaction when he tells them what happened. The whole shabang, who his father is and everything. hmm maybe if he starts using strategies more down the road he might be able to give Shikamaru a run for his money (but that will be far, far down the road.)

I'm excited for Naruto he will come up with an answer that's for sure and I think that he will show it through his fighting. I don't think he'll have to mince words I think that after Pain is beaten by Naruto he will understand what he did wrong and try to fix it (if he doesn't die first.) WEll haha that's my thoughts on the whole thing sorry that I only put up predictions haha but I was too excited to put up anything else.
